Mental Health Resource Hub

The Mental Health Resource Hub is designed to address the practical aspects of mental health in a professional and community context. This hub was created for the Government of Alberta’s internal site for the Ministry of Education and Childcare.

Mental Health Resource Hub Logo

The logo for the Mental Health Resource Hub is meant to show the aspects of collaboration and togetherness. I wanted to create a logo that shows that with more understanding and educating ourselves about mental health and the stigma that surrounds it, we are better equipped to help each other out.

A Colourful Backdrop

I wanted to use a soft but colourful colour palette for the Mental Health Resource Hub. For the patterning, I used soft icons and tried to make them all connect together to try to illustrate connectivity.

A Simple Hub

The website is part of the internal employee website, ConnectEd, for the Ministry of Education and Childcare employees. Working within the constraints of Umbraco, I tried making the webpage bright and colourful using the headers and buttons as the background for the page could not be changed. The webpage is also made to be as intuitive as possible, so that help or information can be found quickly.

User testing was done on numerous employees and this hub as been received positively. There has also been more traffic onto this webpage than previous.
